Douglas Medrano is a 2012 C with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Valley Stream, NY who attends Valley Stream Central. Medium build. Developing catch and throw skills behind the plate. Short arm action on pops to second base. Ball showed some carry and throws were accurate. Gains ground with feet, solid footwork. Received well during game play. Straight stance from the right side at the plate. Rotational swing with a mostly pull approach. Repeats swing mechanics. Showed ability to hit the ball the other way. Excellent student.
