Joel Rodriguez is a 2015 OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. 7.00 runner, quick feet to the ball in the outfield, showed very good range in the games, outstanding raw arm strength with carry, accurate throws, stands out on defense in centerfield. Right handed hitter, moves into the ball well with good lower half use, aggressive hitter who creates bat speed, long loose swing, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared, effort swing but has barrel to ball skills and has an idea what he's doing, solid pull contact. Also pitched, quick arm from a medium length arm action, fastball topped at 83 mph, good spin and bite to his curveball. Nice all around talent.
