Gordon Fisher is a 2014 MIF/3B/RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Grosse Pointe Farms, MI who attends U of Detroit-Jesuit HS. Tall, long slender frame, lots of room to fill, long limbs. Tall stance in the box, rotational hitter, good leverage to swing. Hard in-game contact, had a line drive that registered at 91 mph off the bat. Rare player with better in-game swings than BP swings. Good footwork, good defensive actions, works through the ball well, projectable arm. Primary MIF but was also promising on the mound, pitches from a three quarter arm slot, medium arm action, loose projectable arm on mound, downhill plane, lacks momentum to plate due to lower half mechanics getting offline to 1B side. Curveball shows good potential, 11-5 break usually but flashes 12-6 shape at times, works heavily to glove side of the plate, creates sink on fastball. Interesting two-way player. Excellent student.
