Tanner Thomas is a 2014 1B/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Broomfield, CO who attends Broomfield HS. Nice athletic frame, really projects well physically, chance to be very strong. Right handed hitter, busy hands and feet in load and swing, stays short to the ball for his size, has strength and bat speed, gets around on inside pitches well, handles the barrel and squares up consistently, stays back on off speed pitches, gets a bit too much upper cut at times, has hitting tools to develop. Good footwork and balance at first base, shows a feel for position. Also pitched, compact arm action, tight 3/4's release, limited lower half use, fastball to 74 mph, soft curveball. Good student.
