Abel Martinez is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Milpitas, CA who attends Milpitas HS. Medium build, good strength in lower half. Slow deliberate delivery,tight leg raise, bit cross body on release, long arm circle, high 3/4's release. Upper 70's fastball, topped at 79 mph, cuts fastball at 75 mph with good effect, consistent short SL type action, primary fastball/cutter pitcher. Soft curveball with some occasional downer depth, rare change a bit too firm. Competes on the mound. Right handed hitter, weight back, long swing, looks to pull and lift.
