Gunderman is a good defensive catcher who paid attention to many of the details involved with receiving and he also showed potential in the bat. He threw his pop time at 2 flat clocked at 76 mph with good form and accurate throws. He showed good mobility, soft hands, proper blocking techniques and caught a good game filled with pitchers he never saw before. With the bat he showed potential with some good bat-speed and a couple good line drives that came off the bat well. He is a player that knows the game and brings more to the table than just his tools. Taylor can play and he's strong academically.
