Taylor Hall is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Loveland, Colorado, with a mature body and good overall strength. Hall showed very good arm strength during the outfield workout, throwing 83 mph, but wasn’t quite able to duplicate that from the mound due to some mechanical hitches. Hall threw 77-78 mph on his fastball with occasional cutting action. His 68 mph wide breaking curveball was probably his best pitch, and he also threw a 70 mph change up. Hall has some upper body tilt on release that pulls his arm and upper body off the plate on release. Hall doesn’t have a classic hitter’s swing, but did a good job using his strength to create bat speed and had a couple of game hits.
