2013 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Mike Palos is a 2014 C/3B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Monterey Park, CA who attends Bishop Amat HS. Compact frame, lean athletic build. Short swing, fluid stroke, line drive swing plane, lw effort well controlled swing actions with good balance. Contract oriented approach, consistent contact, high hand set, doesn't incorporate lower half very much, will need to do so to generate power but puts the ball in play on a consistent basis with current approach. Compact arm action, good footwrok behind the plate, accurate throws, sound fundamentally, solid arm strength.
