Travis Catalani: Catalani is a talented middle infielder who definitely grades out as a solid Division I player. He isn’t present strong at 5-10, 160 lbs but is strong enough to generate some bat speed and his approach in selecting pitches and hitting them hard with a short, controlled stroke is very good. He’d make a good number 1 or number 2 hitter in a batting order. Catalani’s arm strength is very good for either middle infield spot and he made some very nice plays at shortstop during the showcase games. Catalani’s actions are quick and confident both on defense and when running the bases. He’s a nice player who does everything well on the field and knows how to play.
