Trevor Geist -- Geist is a tall and angular 6-4 sophomore infielder from Colorado. He has a chance to be some kind of strong when he’s physically mature. Geist hits from a crouch and drops his back leg a bit, creating an upper cut swing with plenty of loft in it. This approach probably doesn’t maximize Geist’s strength and leverage, though, nor create ideal bat speed. Geist showed some good agility in the field making a couple of diving stops, but his size and overall quickness will probably move him to third base in the future. Geist also threw a mop up inning from the mound and threw 80 mph from a good downhill arm stroke. Geist is a very strong student. Trevor is a high level "06" prospect who needs to be followed closely.
