Jennings is a very polished player with plenty of good skills both in the field and at the plate. The key for this young man is going to be adding some strength to his wiry athletic 6-2, 170 lb. frame. Jennings is a 7.1 runner who moves very fluidly at third base and has good hands and actions on ground balls. One area additional strength is going to benefit him is in improving his arm strength. We’ve seen Jennings a few times at different events deliver key hits off very tough pitchers. He has a sound approach at the plate and is very situation savvy and can put the bat head on the ball consistently. Again, that additional strength is really going to help Jennings raw bat speed and give him the ability to drive the ball more consistently. Tyler's best years are ahead of him, don't be surprised if he blossoms into a very good draft pick out of college. If he does end up in pro ball early, he'll be a good one down the road. The bloodlines, body and skills are all in place.
