2013 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Matthew Dowling is a 2015 C/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sturbridge, MA who attends St John's. Medium, lean frame and shows present strength. Looks the part behind the plate. Arm strength is still developing, but has a quick transfer and a short arm action. Bats right-handed, works from a narrow base and carries his hands high. Makes line drive contact and gets his hips involved in his swing. Good barrel accuracy and timing at the plate. Excellent student.
