Michael Walters is an exciting player to watch. Michael is a 5'8-140 OF/2B/RHP from Mannasas, Virginia. Michael has a short lean build that has plenty of room left for growth. He is good down the line and steals bags, showed 7.17 sixty speed and 4.37 home to 1b time. Quick athlete with good speed and strong hands. Short quick swing with whole field approach. In batting practice he showed good bat speed and short quick path to the ball with above average power. Top of the order college hitter who will work to get on. Hustle type player who will ignite offense. He has average tools in OF and should continue to add arm strength. He showed college arm strength with 80 mph velocity. He has a hard fall off at release with above average actions. On the mound Michael is a sidearm thrower with decent arm speed. He showed a 69-71 mph fastball with decent command. He did not show any off speed pitches, which will become a necessity to compete on the mound. Athletically Michael was one of the top players at the event, and will need to fill out to get the most of his speed and athletic ability. With a few years of growth Michael could become a prospect that colleges will take note of. He was named to the Top Prospect game.
