Tyler Dietrich is a 2015 C/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Barron Collier HS. Medium athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Polished defensive actions behind the plate, shifts and blocks well with good footwork, stays low and flexible, quick compact exchange throwing, sacrifices pure arm strength for quickness, 1.95 best pop time. Right handed hitter, simple repeatable hitting mechanics, short and quick to the ball, mid field line drive approach, some looseness and extension out front, tools to improve offensively with additional strength. Good student.
