Jimmy Jones is a 2014 2B/C with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Bronson, FL who attends St. Francis HS. Strong compact build, especially in the lower half. Primary middle infielder but might have more future as a catcher, second base actions on the infield, stays low and works through balls well, good exchange on throws, shows athleticism defensively, quick flexible lower half, 2.00 best pop time, will have to raise throwing slot a bit. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, gets to front side early, spread open stance, compact quick swing, swings hard and is aggressive, line drive swing plane with some lift on occasion, ball comes off the barrel well. Very good student.
