Samuel Schneider is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from La Jolla, CA who attends La Jolla. Schneider has a large frame with a long lean build. He pitches from a L 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He gets good arm side run on his fastball and occasionally drops down to side arm. Schneider throws a change up with good fade and sink to it. He also throws a 1/7 curve ball with some sweeping depth to it. He can get more from his frontside in his delivery to make a velocity gain. Schneider has solid actions at 1B with quick feet around the bag. At the plate, he has a deeper hand set and swings on a flat path. Outstanding student.
