David Hendrick is a 2017 SS/RHP/1B with a 6-3 201 lb. frame from Foley, AL who attends Foley. Tall athletic build, good strength, especially in the lower half. 6.96 runner, moves with short quick steps in the infield defensively, has a short quick arm action and release on the move, longer arm action when set, some carry to his throws, third base build and actions overall. Right handed hitter, has a short and compact swing, cuts off a bit out front, pull approach, upper half generated swing, can improve with adjustments, has the strength to hit. Also pitched, high 3/4's arm slot, drop and drive delivery, medium effort at release, tends to lean his body off line to let his arm through. Steady low 80's fastball, mostly straight, gets some tilt on a 73 mph slider. Very good student.
