Matthew Brown is a 2016 OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Schenectady, NY who attends Guilderland HS. Medium, athletic frame with a lean and projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 5.09 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet to the ball and fields the ball out front. Some effort at release, throws with a compact, three-quarter arm action with some extension out front, opens front side early at times. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and hands away from both but does a nice job of getting them into a good hitting position. Gets barrel through the zone and shows a feel for the barrel, creates consistent line drive contact with solid in game contact. Excellent student.
