Chris Begg is a 2016 2B/SS with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Great Oak HS. Medium, athletic frame with a young, projectable build and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder fields the ball out front, active feet and moves well to ball, funnels well from glove to short arm action, quick release, charges well, shows accuracy on throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a simple stance in the box and a medium hand set. Small toe tap trigger for timing, remains short to ball with bat path and shows control of the barrel. Line drive swing plane, hit the ball out front and comes off well, projectable bat speed with repeatable mechanics. Has feel for the barrel and can use all fields with intent. Good student.
