Nicholas Amey is a 2017 OF/MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Emmaus, PA who attends Emmaus HS. Medium, athletic build, shows present strength but projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a full arm action on accurate throws to intended base, stays upright at release, tracks well off the bat, arm strength will continue to develop with incorporation of lower half into throws. Fields the ball out front in infield, moves well showing range up the middle, gets body behind the ball, lower arm slot across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow stance and a high hand set. Shows quick hands with ability to hit the inside pitch, short bat path with some lift at contact. Gets to front side early at times, creates hard contact to pull side with a nice feel for the barrel. Good student.
