Giuliano Montanez is a 2013 2B/SS, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium build, thin and wiry, lots of room to fill out with maturity, highly athletic. Ran a 6.97 60 yard. Shows good arm strength across the infield, has range that stands out, soft hands, actions need to be calmed down slight. Has the potential to be a very good fielder. Right-handed hitter, slightly open setup, needs to hit from a stronger base, uppercut swing path, shows good bat speed, has some present strength and it shows in power. Hits to the opposite field well, flashes some lift. Excellent student.
