Ben Skinner is a 2015 SS/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Moraga, CA who attends Campolindo. Skinner has a smaller frame with a lean wiry build. Defensively he moves well to the ball with good footwork. Skinner has solid actions and showed good body control. He has projectable arm strength and solid defensive skills. At the plate, Skinner starts with a slightly open stance with a rotational swing. He has a short path to the baseball and has bat speed. Skinner has quick hands with an easy fluid swing. He's a fast twitch athlete who ran well at 6.92 in the sixty. Interesting young player. Excellent student.
