Alexander Rios is a 2013 OF/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Guaynabo, PR who attends carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium to smaller build, has some present strength. Left handed hitter, gets coiled and loaded well, short and quick line drive swing, tends to hit over back side, best contact to mid field. 7.40 runner, gets good jumps and runs good routes in the outfield, fast arm with some arm strength and projection. Also pitched, compact arm action, low effort on line delivery, 3/4's arm slot, low 80's fastball, mostly straight, soft low 60's curveball with big early break, threw strikes and competed. Good student.
