Joe Diaz is a 2014 RHP/ with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Ayala - Chino Hills. Diaz has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Diaz has some arm speed and gets some down plane action on his fastball. He throws strikes and gets some occasional cut action on his fastball. Diaz throws an 11/5 curveball with developing spin and shape to it. There's more velocity and movement on off speed pitches with a few adjustments. Diaz has a rotational swing at the plate with a line drive swing path. He made consistent contact to the middle of the field and opposite field. Good student.
