Brian Wowk is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Oshawa, ON who attends Maxwell Heights S.S.. Medium, athletic build with quick twitch muscle, a projectable build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows nice footwork to the ball with athletic actions, soft hands and fields cleanly out front, shows a quick arm with strength on throws across. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Effort at release, gets on top of his fastball with a quick arm, topped out at 80 mph with the pitch and filled up the strike zone, flashing a curveball at 66 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slight knee bend and a low hand set. Line drive swing plane, gets barrel through the zone and shows a feel for it, shows a nice feel to hit to all fields. Good student.
