Jacob Blas is a 2017 SS with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends San Marcos HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength room for more. 6.89 runner, has good footwork and quick feet in the middle of the field defensively, lower throwing slot, likely a second baseman at the next level. Right handed hitter, big leg lift load, keeps hands tight and short to the ball, can improve lower half use, has quick hands and makes consistent line drive contact. Very good student, verbal commitment to Arizona.
