Matthew Lewis is a 2017 C/RHP, SS with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Sickles. Lewis has a lean projectable build. Hits from a square upright stance with high hand set up. Quiet approach and hits to all fields. Short compact swing plane with good extension. Stays inside baseball well. Makes consistent contact. Young player with good hitting tools, interesting follow. Defensively, has good lateral range on the INF with a clean transfer and release. Also has clean and transfer behind plate as well. Also pitches. 3/4 arm slot, smooth delivery, works down in zone with a running fastball. Good command of both fastball and 11/5 curveball with depth. Outstanding Student.
