Mateo Shannon is a 2015 C/3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend HS. Shannon has a good frame with a thick strong build. Defensively he stays tall on his pop throws and uses a short arm action. He has solid transfers and arm strength up to 74 MPH on his pop throws. He has some catch and throw tools and receiving skills. At the plate, he has a patient approach and has a short swing path to the baseball. Shannon has an efforty swing and a rotational swing. He has a simple swing and swings on a line drive path. Shannon has some raw strength in his swing with more power potential in there. Very good student.
