Alex Perron is a 2015 RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman HS. Slender build, young look, lots of room to get stronger. High 3/4's arm slot, loose fast arm action, tends to pull head and front side off line at release. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph with good plane to the plate, moves fastball around in the zone and elevates it with intent at times. Soft curveball with occasional 12/6 downer bite. Rare change up. Projects to pick up velocity with additional strength, key in development will be progress of his secondary pitches. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to San Diego.
