Blake Shepherd is a 2009 OF/ with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from La Crosse, WI who attends Viterbo University. Has a strong athletic build with a large frame. Has a short AA in the outfield, very good arm strength, quick smooth transfer, has smooth actions, covers a lot of ground in the outfield, has good throwing mechanics. Has high hands and a high back elbow to start at the plate, leg lift trigger, finishes high, looks to lift the ball. Has good bat speed, hits the ball to all fields, makes good hard consistent contact, had a couple of extra base hits in the game. Has very good speed running a 6.56 60 YD Dash. Is an interesting prospect to follow.
