Joe Fitzhugh is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View. Fitzhugh has a medium sized frame with longer legs and an athletic build. Defensively he has quick actions behind the plate with good catch and throw tools. Fitzhugh has a quick under control release with online throws. He has good arm strength up to 83 MPH with high level defensive tools. At the plate, Fitzhugh starts with a square stance with a wide base. He has a short line drive swing and looks to pull the ball. The ball jumps off his bat at times and showed some pop to the pull side. He has projectable hitting tools and some power potential. Very athletic catcher with high level tools across the board. Named to Top Prospect Team, good student.
