Cesar Escobedo is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Moreno Valley, CA who attends Riverside Poly HS. Short, compact build, strong lower half. Stays low behind the plate, shifts well to block, accurate throws, some developing arm strength, 2.07 best pop time, can improve arm strength with longer stride. Right handed hitter, very wide stance, busy low hand start, upper body rotational swing, line drive swing plane. Can develop into a solid defensive catcher with continued hard work. Good student.
