Nick DiPonzio is a 2016 OF with a 6-2 188 lb. frame from Macon, GA who attends Tattnall Square Academy. Large frame, athletic well-proportioned build with solid present strength. Very good athlete with impressive footspeed, ran a 6.62 60-yard dash. Moves well to ball in outfield, made a nice diving play in game-action, has solid arm-strength, could get more out of tools with improved lower half use in throwing mechanics. Left handed hitter, wide base setup with active hand trigger, aggressive weight shift into contact, can get off balance at times. Good hand quickness, solid feel for barrel and line-drive swing path with middle-of-field approach geared to utilize top-end speed. Very good student.
