Garrison Gunby is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-1 158 lb. frame from Savannah, GA who attends Benedictine Military. Tall and slender build, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Has a short and compact arm action that hides the ball well, slightly cross body on release, has deception in his delivery, gets very good use of his lower half and front side in his delivery, strong overall mechanics, high 3/4's release point. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets arm side running action at times, can throw his fastball to spots. Curveball has good velocity in the low 70's, gets good depth and sharpness at times. Works quickly and has an idea how to pitch and will continue to improve with additional strength. Right handed hitter, swings hard and has some looseness in his swing, good extension through contact and flashed some pull power. Good overall athlete.
