Alberto Gonzalez is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Laredo, TX who attends John B Alexander HS. Broad shouldered young build with some lower half strength, projects well physically. Tall and fall delivery mechanics, big slow gather over the rubber with a high energy drive to the plate, deep arm action in back, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight, gets his fastball to both sides of the plate well. Still developing feel for his breaking ball, will wander between a slow 12/6 curveball, a sharper and bigger 11/5 curveball and a sharper slider, slider is the best action at present. Interesting young arm to develop, reliever profile at present. Good student.
