Hugh York is a 2016 C/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends North Forsyth HS. Athletic, medium frame with some projection. Right handed hitter, uses spread stance with low hand set. Displayed solid bat speed, quick hands and some strength. Short swing path that works inside the ball often, showed ability to extend at times and ball carried a bit to pullside gap. Can get a bit off balance at times, but has solid hitting tools to work with. Showed solid defensive fundamentals behind the plate, could shorten up his release, but solid arm strength. Very good student.
