Mason Mitchell is a 2017 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 198 lb. frame from Ellisville, MO who attends Marquette HS. has an extra large frame, broad shoulders, and clear sign of present strength in his build. Posted a 7.27 second sixty yard dash. From the outfield, has a quick release into throws with long arm action. Showed arm strength up to 81 MPH with developing accuracy. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with an open stance. Displayed a short, compact swing with good strength and balance. Turns the barrel well into the baseball and has the ability to hit he ball to all fields. Ball comes off his barrel hard, Looks to hit the ball with authority every time he steps up to the plate. On the mound, has short arm action through the back while throwing from an over the top arm slot. Fastball shows natural cutting action, curveball has 12/6 shape with depth, has solid feel for his change up. Excellent student.
