Anthony Vieto is a 2015 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Whitestone, NY who attends St Francis Preparatory. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength to his frame. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball well, shows a short and quick arm action with strength and accuracy on throws, incorporates lower half well and has a quick release. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a high leg raise and does a nice job of getting on top of his fastball which topped out at 77 mph and worked to both sides of the plate. Showed a nice feel for a 1-7 curveball at 64 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a low hand set. Short and compact swing with a direct swing path to the ball, gets on front side early at times but gets barrel through the zone well and shows some lift and pop to pull side. Outstanding student.
