Elias Gross is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Bethlehem, PA who attends Liberty. Large frame with lean, athletic build at present and excellent physical projection remaining on frame. Posted a 7.47 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits from tall, upright stance with low hand set, consistent hand load back, gets hands in good position to fire through zone, transfers weight well and gets off backside, some uppercut in swing, good bat speed with middle-field approach, mostly hard line drive contact with good present jump off the barrel and more power coming with continued physical development and strength gains. Smooth, easy defensive actions, stays down on ball well and fields cleanly with athletic fluidity throughout. Good 1st step to both sides, gets to ball well, smooth crow hop and quick release with impressive carry on accurate throws across the diamond, IF velocity topped at 83 MPH. Very good student.
