Diego Colon is a 2016 LHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Las Piedras, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Medium, young, athletic build with more room to add lower half strength. Mature upper body. Pitches from a three-quarter, extended arm slot and has a directional delivery that he repeats well. Tops at 76 mph with his fastball and spots it down in the zone. Flashes solid curveball depth with 1-7 rotation at 64 mph. Varies it to a harder slider with late bite. Also flashes a 67 mph changeup with fading action. Knows how to mix his pitches. Very good student.
