Christian Funk is a 2014 SS/OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Clovis West HS. Medium frame, lean athletic build, wide set shoulders, projectable body. Impressive defensive tools and skills in both the outfield and several infield positions. Arm stood out in OF workout, quick release with short arm action, arm works well, good carry on accurate throws, up to 90 mph. Moves well laterally in infield, good footwork, solid arm strength, showed some present skill working around the 2B bag as a MIF. Arm stood out on mound as well, topped out at 87 mph, compact arm action, sweeing curveball, fastball has arm side run. Coiled approach at the plate, long loose swing, good bat speed, big upercut plane, smooth load, power approach.
