Emilio Ferrer is a 2018 3B/2B with a 5-8 163 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Hialeah Educational Academy. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill out. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows quick feet moving towards the ball, remains low through actions, fields the ball out front, clean and athletic, higher arm slot but has the ability to change arm slots and throws accurately with comfort. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread and slightly open stance, moves into contact well with an on line stride. Swings with intent and looks to elevate the the ball with lift to swing path. Simple swing mechanics and creates extension through the zone, turns on the inner half well and consistently works the pull side with quick hands. Good student.
