Elviz Belen is a 2015 2B/3B, RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Putnam Valley, NY who attends Putnam Valley. Medium, strong build. Ran a 7.51 60 yard dash. Infield arm strength is still developing, but has the footwork and athleticism to play up the middle. Gets the ball out well and has soft hands. Bats right-handed, works from a balanced setup and carries his hands high in his stance. Shows a line drive stroke and hits well to his pull side. Has a confident, sound approach at the plate and flashes good bat speed. Hits to the middle of the field. Also took the mound, works from a compact delivery and releases from a short, high three-quarter arm action. Fastball tops at 74 mph and flashes arm side run. Uses his 12-6 curveball effectively, and mixes in a changeup down in the zone.
