2004 Underclass National Showcase
Brandon Teague -- Teague is a 6-2 junior third baseman from Georgia. He has good present strength and the type of frame that can add strength in the future. Teague hits from a wide stance with a strong fundamental line drive swing. Teague has good bat speed and as he adds strength should be able to take his bat to the very highest levels. Teague’s arm strength and soft hands are very playable at third base but he still needs some work on his lower body quickness. Teague also showed us the ability to potentially pitch at the next level. He has very smooth mechanics and athletic actions on the mound and showed great feel and command of his pitches. Teague’s fastball was 80-81 mph but both his 69-71 mph curveball and 67 mph change up were quality pitches and difficult to hit. Teague is a strong student as well. Very good "05" hitting prospect who can play.
