Dametri Evans is a 2015 C/3B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Hemet, CA who attends Tahquitz HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Outstanding arm strength behind the plate, plus carry with accuracy, long arm action and exchange but arm strength makes up for it, 1.83 in drills, 1.96 best game pop, receives the ball well behind the plate and has one spot athleticism. Right handed hitter, back side hitter, lets the ball travel, swings hard and creates bat speed, mid to opposite field contact, has strength at contact, has hitting tools and strength to develop. Good student, verbal commitment to Iowa.
