2014 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Matt Cassady is a 2015 OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Bettendorf HS. Nice young athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, spread bent knee stance, limited shift into contact but gets hips turned well at times, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields with best contact to right center field, projects offensively with additional strength and adjustments. 6.97 runner, shows good jumps and range in the outfield, made several nice catches and was vocal calling off infielders, loose arm with developing arm strength, accurate throws. Good student.
