Fisher Pyatt is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends St. Augustine HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill and shows present strength. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball and shows range, performed well at second base in game with nice ranging play to four-hole, circles the ball well and takes good first step, takes an extra step through release at time on throws across, softer hands out front fielding the ball, accurate across the diamond with a shorter arm stroke. Listed as a switch-hitter, only took reps lefthanded. Begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Does a nice job of handling the barrel with a mostly linear path, can work to all fields while hitting the ball out front. Repeats well and gets extended, contact orietned approach and able to execute nicely, projects with added strength. Good student. Verbal commitment to San Diego State.
