Thomas Forbes is a 2016 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Catalina Foothills HS. Lean and lanky young build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.36 runner, shows better speed on the bases and gets out of the box well, 4.40 and 4.32 from the left side, runs hard. Spread stance at the plate, long one piece swing with good extension out front, mostly pull contact, line drive swing plane. Has athletic actions to the ball in the outfield on defense, can improve footwork and lower half use throwing. Also pitched, long extended arm action with a cross body release, arm works well coming through, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, mixed in diving curveball frequently and threw strikes.
