Matthew Kanfer is a 2015 OF/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Playa Del Rey, CA who attends Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies. Large frame, high waist, long limbs, room to fill out. Good runner, posted a 7.13 60 yard dash. From the outfield, Kanfer shows loose defensive actions, with a good first step to attack the ball. Long arm action in back, throws from an over the top slot with some arm speed, throws are online, and shows good energy. Right-handed batter who starts from an upright, slightly open stance. Arms get extended through swing with a slight uppercut. Gets barrel through the zone, showing some bat speed and making line drive contact. Good student.
