Avery Plum is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Campbell Hall. Extra large from with excellent musculature throughout body; still projects some moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.27 seconds. Primary pitcher, shows short and quick arm action that works well into acceleration from mid three quarters slot. Fastball worked 77-80 and touched 81 with some cutting life. Mixed in curveball with 11/5 shape and some spin with depth; also showed ability to turn over changeup in low 70's with solid fading life. Hits from tall, balanced stance with toe tap trigger. Rotational swing in upper body, doesn't use lower half fully in swing, squares up the ball well and shows ability to hit line drives all over the field. More power will come with better usage of lower half. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows clean fielding actions with some range to both sides, works through ball and makes accurate throws to 1B up to 74 MPH. Very good student.
